 Mortals no longer believe in the Greek gods, and haven't for awhile. For them science always had a rational explanation for everything, and that there were no greater forces of nature. They do not believe what cannot be explained, so this have kept the half blood safe from the mortals eyes. But what happens when things get so bad that science can no longer explain what is going on. Mortals lose fate when what they believed in and start to see things they shouldn't. Gifted mortals aren't the only ones seeing through the mist as each passing week the mist thins more, putting Greek Gods at further risk of being discovered. What they were told was legend but what isn't explained in legend is demigods are going missing for camp half blood. Chiron is trying his best to protect the halfbloods, but their disappearances are unknown and random, and the kids are no safer in the outer world. An ancient evil is rising, and as the Oracle stays quiet, the demigods remain in the dark. The gods are torn between the thinning mist and the rising evil, and hence forth little is being done to help the halfbloods. Can the demigods prove themselves as heroes and follow in the footsteps of their ancestors... But no Hercules is there to help them, the camp can only stay standing so long...
